SYRACUSE, N.Y. – CXtec has been identified as a secondary hardware TPM provider by Gartner in its July 2017 research report entitled "Competitive Landscape: Leveraging Third-Party Maintenance Providers for Data Center and Network Maintenance Cost Optimization, North America [ID G00327262]."
Gartner analyst and research director Christine Tenneson states, "Technology product marketing leaders at service providers responsible for channel alliances can help clients optimize maintenance costs using a hybrid maintenance strategy. Many TPM providers seek partnerships with other providers in global regions across server, storage and network technologies.”
“We are proud of the fact that our RapidCare® third-party maintenance program has been cited in Gartner’s competitive landscape report for a second year in a row,” said Peter Belyea, CEO of CXtec. “RapidCare® is aimed at helping our customers reduce their maintenance costs by 50 to 60 percent less than an OEM-sponsored program and we’ve found this to be a perfect hybrid support solution for them.”
The report highlights key findings that touch upon provider consolidation, commission-based partnership, a more fragmented TPM global market and OEMs leveraging TPMs more. Tenneson’s report also offers recommendations and analysis.
The report lists 19 different vendors in the TPM market and describes two types of providers, pure-play TPMs and secondary hardware TPMs. “Both types of providers offer TPM across server, storage and networking equipment and commonly compete against each other in competitive bids. The focus of this document is on pure-play TPMs and secondary hardware TPMs.”
As a secondary hardware provider, CXtec offers third-party maintenance, known as RapidCare®.
