CABLExpress continues popular Cables for a Cure campaign

  • Sep 18, 2011
CABLExpress® has offered data center and cabling infrastructure technologies for more than 30 years. During the month of October for the past nine of those years, CABLExpress has recognized National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with their annual Cables for a Cure™ campaign.

\"Our employees company-wide really get excited about participating in this event,\" said Peter Belyea, President of CXtec® and TERACAI®. \"Everyone understands the importance of supporting a cause like this, as it affects so many people.\"

CABLExpress donates a nickel from every stock-length copper patch cable and 50 cents from every stock-length CABLExpress branded fiber jumper sold by CXtec and TERACAI throughout the month-long campaign. These donations support the American Cancer Society\'s annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

Since sister companies CXtec and TERACAI both participate, a lot of excitement is generated throughout the entire building.

\"It\'s almost become a competition of sorts,\" suggested Belyea. \"While we don\'t have an official tally board to track the numbers, we may need to institute that soon because everyone wants to see who is leading in this fundraising effort.\"

Customers who make a qualifying purchase during the campaign will also receive a pink ribbon window cling. They are intended to signify the \"Making Strides\" pink ribbon symbol that honors breast cancer survivors and those lost to the disease, and to support the search for a cure.
